night view...

from Sheikh Mahir Al-Muaiqely - Makkah Fajr

a quiet national day...

i'm now at surah an-nisa' but still at the early part.... i'm only;
on page 94 at ayat 94 : O ye who believe! when ye go abroad in the cause of God, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation. 'thou art none of a believer!' coveting the perishable goods of life: with God are profits and spoils abundant. even thus were ye yourselves before, till God conferred on you His favours, therefore carefully investigate. for God is well aware of all that ye do.

i'm slow...

this morning i was just at surah 3- Ali 'Imran  section 14 : what success meant for the muslims

130 O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear God, that ye may (really) prosper. 131 Fear the Fire, which is prepared for those who reject Faith: 132 And obey God and the Messenger, that ye may obtain mercy. 133 Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,-134 Those who spend(freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity, who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men, -for God loves those who do good,-135 And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their sins,-and who can forgive sins except God?-and are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in(the wrong) they have done.136 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,-an eternal dwelling: how excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)!

zakat fitrah

a friend who is single and has no male relative said she had difficulties to pay the zakat fitrah since last year. she went to the masjid to pay, but the amil didn't stay back to collect the zakat fitrah. she said she went to the religious office but there's no amil in-charge too. she said she is so shy to wait  and call the amil in the masjid like what she did last year..so i suggested she come and pay the zakat to my uncle an amil here in my area. i'll accompany her to see my uncle one of these days..i hope i am doing the right thing.

motivation is important

i was watching nick vijucic no arms and no legs video ad that leads me to read his story. after that i was surfing to other sites and found good quotes and stories..i like this one, it sound funny but it is a good one.

Be willing to make decisions. That's the most important quality in a good leader. Don't fall victim to what I call the ready-aim-aim-aim-aim syndrome. You must be willing to fire.

ramadhan day 2

i'm still at al-Baqarah today, may Allah give me strength to do better this time..ameen.

"Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).." (Qur'an, al- Baqarah 2:185)

"Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and rightousness" (Qur'an, al-Baqarah, 2:183)

"...And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew." (Qur'an al-Baqarah 2:184)

Ramadhan

Narrated Abu Huraira(r.a) : The Prophet said:"... whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." (Sahih Al-Bukhari).

leadership

quotations on leadership from treasury of wit & wisdom :

1 the first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. the last is to say thank you. in between, the leader is a servant.
2 one of the tests of leadership is the ability to recognise a problem before it becomes an emergency
3 motivation is everything. you can do the work of two people, but you cant be two people. instead, you have to inspire the next guy down the line and get him to inspire his people
4 one person can be a change catalyst, a "transformer" in any situation, any organization. such an individual is yeast that can leaven an entire loaf. it requires vision, initiative, patience, respect, persistence, courage, and faith to be a transforming leader.

i do not like myself today

let's look at this beautiful orchid...
i was angry. i was mad. i was frustrated...but i was not sad. there are people who come to work just sitting around and do nothing and does not feel ashamed at all... i confronted these people very early this morning. off course i did some homework by observing, surprise visit, checking, and referring to their kpi first before i walked into their heaven today. at least i have done my part. may be i am too harsh with my words, but to me i have given them enough time already. i have my own kpi too.

The Personal Appearance of Our Holy Prophet s.a.w in Hadiths

A Starfish at Mersing Seaside
Hadrat Hassan narrated " I asked my father (Hadrat Ali) about Holy Prophet's way of entering the house. " He said , "He used to go in the house for his personal needs, and his admittance to his house was governed by (Allah's ) permission. Whenever he came in the house, he divided the time into three parts- one part reserved for Allah, the other part for the family members, and the third for himself (i.e to take rest etc). Even out of the part of the time he reserved for himself, he devoted a part to his people- specially his close companions, who conveyed to other(what they learnt from the Holy prophet, during this time) and he did not hide anything from (his) people.
