The Story of a black man

A day for Hayatus Sahabah..

Anas(Radiallahu 'Anhu) narrated, " A man came to the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam) and asked, " O Messenger of Allah! I am a man who is black in colour having an ugly face. I do not have any wealth even. If I fought with them until I was also killed, would I enter Paradise?" He replied, "Yes". Then he marched forward and started to fight until he was killed. After his matyrdom, the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. passed by him. He addressed, " Allah has beautified your face, has made his odour pleasant and has increased his wealth. I have seen two of his wives among the big eyed Hurs (of Paradise) who are quarreling with each other as to who would enter between his Jubbah (i.e the shroud) and his skin."

  3. One thing I discovered: beautified "your" face...but later the pronoun changes to "his". Can you re-check the correct "matan" (=text)?

  4. I've re-checked, still that's the version I have on page 641 (the 1999 edition of Hayatus Sahabah). yeah..may be it should be beautified "his" face, may be a typo error.
